Needs Upgrade

I just got the app, pressed a button, it backed up my contacts, then prompted me to email the link for my data (great) then being that I was impressed, I tried to upgrade to pro (to remove ads and to show patronage) and it crashed. Touch any button now and it crashes.
Here is the dilemma, I got the app to save contacts so I can upgrade to latest iOS.
If it crashes when Im trying to give them money, then how can I trust that I will be able to retrieve my contacts when needed.
